Our approach
Our field of view
Plimarosafari is an independent editorial project for travellers who want to understand a landscape before they visit it.
What we do
We publish habitat-led guides to national parks and reserves, seasonal timing, conservation tourism and practical preparation. We write for first-time safari travellers who prefer clear trade-offs to superlatives, and we explain ecological choices without telling readers what to value.
What we do not do
We do not sell trips, take booking commissions or accept paid placements. No lodge, operator or tourism board reviews our copy before publication. When we refer to a reserve or management model, it is because it illustrates a useful choice, not because it pays to be mentioned.
How we research
We draw on official park authority information, published conservation research, IUCN Red List assessments, GSTC criteria and conversations with guides and researchers. Seasonal notes are general and indicative; we update them when access rules or patterns change, and we say plainly that wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
We would rather a reader chose the right quiet reserve than the famous wrong one.
